These prayers for all occasions and specific needs are designed to help you pray in times of particular need, if you are facing a real problem in your life, or simply to assist you in developing your prayer life.

If you don’t know where to begin or even how to ask God for help, you can select one of these prayers as a guide to get you started.

As friends and family express their needs to us, what can we do to help? Stop and pray together, if at all possible.

Where to Pray: On the phone, in the car, at work, alone, with friends, on text, on email, in the parking lot, on your street with a buddy who needs prayer, wherever – just talk to your Best Friend, Jesus. He can solve it all!

When to Pray: Immediately when there is a need. Stop. Drop. Pray. The Bible says to pray without ceasing. (1 Thess. 5:17) I think that means to not give up even when we don’t SEE the answer. That’s what faith is all about. Trusting Him even when we don’t understand. I love that we can call upon the Lord anytime! He’s always ready to answer when we call. (Psalm 34:6) We just have to keep the connection open!

What to Pray: If it’s on your heart and mind, tell the Lord about it!

Why to Pray: Because I need it. Because we need it. Look around. Is there any doubt? The Lord said we have not because we ask not. So let’s ask. He will answer.

One of the best inspirations I ever had for prayer was not even from a book about prayer. It was from the story of Esther of all places! Bottom line…things changed when they prayed. The Lord was just waiting to see when they would finally look to Him. They spent a lot of time in a heap of trouble, because they kept trying to fix everything themselves. Let’s stop that.

I don’t have to understand the hidden things of God. I just have to understand one thing. He told me to PRAY.

Doesn’t have to be fancy. Doesn’t have to be long. It just has to be from the heart. My heart to His. A Good Connection.
